Quartet
‘Recollections’ remained for many years the longest piano solo work I had written with the exception of my first really serious effort at composition, a modest 35-40 minute piano "Sonata." A few years ago the Thorne Music Fund commissioned an extensive piano work and with some trepidation I went to work on the new set. "Quartet" was premiered by me in Princeton, N. J. on April 6, 1971.
